Sedo weekly domain name sales led by Trade.io
A weekly Sedo ledger, read quietly, is still the clearest gauge of what the average domain buyer will actually pay.
Sedo's latest weekly list is out, and the top line belongs to a .io name: Trade.io at $75,000. That is not a headline number by auction standards, but it is a reminder that clean, product-ready names still command a premium.
The .com tier is where the middle market shows its temperature. DragonStone.com led it at $12,230, with a total of 20 .com sales in the report. Nothing else in that group seems built to make a broker emotional, which is exactly the point.
The longer tail is more interesting: 24 ccTLD sales and four other TLD sales. That is over half of the reported volume living outside .com, a quiet signal that buyers are willing to leave the classic extension when the keyword does the work.
- For a broker scanning the list, the structure matters more than any single price: one strong .io sale at the top, a disciplined .com middle, and a wide ccTLD tail. That is not chaos. That is a functioning market with distinct tiers.
