NameJet/SnapNames September 2026 aftermarket report led by Miju.com
NameJet and SnapNames' September 2026 sales report shows what expiring and deleting domain names are fetching in the aftermarket. For holders, it offers a monthly read on demand for short .coms and established .orgs.
The two platforms sold 93 domains for a combined $420.9K. NameJet's 36 sales averaged about $4.8K, while SnapNames' 57 sales averaged about $4.4K. The top prices were gameone.com at $21,000 and miju.com at $31,056.
Most of the sales were expiry auctions rather than deletions. That means the names were registered, lapsed, and then competed for by buyers. Only a handful of the reported sales were deleting names, which drop without a renewal.
Short .com names led the list: miju.com, guda.com, b555.com, supershow.com, and biotime.com. Four-letter .coms and generic .orgs also appeared consistently. This is a familiar pattern: liquidity concentrates in short, pronounceable names and established words.
For someone holding similar names, the report provides price anchors. A four-letter .com like guda.com at $18,369 or b555.com at $16,995 does not guarantee the same result for every four-letter .com, but it shows what end buyers pay when the name is clean and the auction has competition.
The volume is modest. Ninety-three sales in a month is a small slice of the overall aftermarket. Still, expiry auctions are one of the few public, recurring sources of transaction data, and they reflect what registrants let go rather than what brokers negotiate privately.
