End user domain sales: Atom Edition
Atom is now doing what Sedo has done for years: publishing end-user sales data with enough detail to be useful.
Domain sales transparency usually comes from a handful of venues, and Sedo set the standard with its weekly list.
Atom's published sales are a quieter signal: a marketplace choosing to expose outcomes, even when sellers consent to the disclosure.
For buyers, these numbers reveal where actual end-user demand lands, not just asking prices or auction noise.
For sellers, the list is a calibration tool: comparable sales, venue behavior, and the gap between listing price and closed deal.
The catch is selection bias. Atom only publishes sales when sellers agree, so the dataset is a slice, not the whole market.
Still, any additional source of verified end-user sale prices makes the broader domain market a little less opaque.
