Atom offers “Instant Premium” domains for $7.75
Atom is selling cheap names with a premium halo attached.
The old machine: buy a name, wait for premium approval, then set a price and hope. Atom just compressed that pipeline into a single $7.75 transaction.
Instant Premium is less about the registration fee and more about inventory status. A buyer gets a domain and a pre-approved resale slot, which changes the economics of flipping.
Structured this way, Atom is both factory and display window. It collects the entry fee as registrar and takes its cut later when the upgraded name moves through its marketplace.
For the flipper, the risk isn't the seven dollars. It's buying a pre-approved listing and still needing an end user who actually wants it.
No word yet on what makes a name worthy of the program. That's the part of the machine you don't get to see.
