Atom Appraisals Now Go Above $1 Million

A cap just came off the ceiling for domain appraisals.

Atom.com has removed the artificial ceiling on its Instant Domain Appraisal tool, letting owners of premium names see estimated values above $1 million instead of a blunt '> $1 million' label.

The change is small in code and meaningful in positioning: Atom is now willing to put a number on names that were previously only marked as exceptionally valuable.

For sellers of seven- and eight-figure domains, the more precise figure adds negotiating context and a concrete benchmark before entering the market.

For buyers, it signals that Atom is increasingly courting the top end of the aftermarket, not just the mid-tier listing volume.

  • Mechanic worth scanning: an appraisal tool that quantifies eight-figure names changes how owners price, list, and anchor their expectations on premium inventory.
