Afternic Should Identify “Hot” Names in Seller Portfolios
Search numbers are the closest thing a domain has to a heartbeat.
Afternic lets sellers peek at GoDaddy search counts, which is useful: it converts vague 'demand' into a number a seller can act on.
The gap is that nothing surfaces the winners. A seller has to dig through every portfolio row to find the names the market is already asking for.
The request here is simple: let the marketplace organize its own data and flag the names buyers are actually hunting, instead of making sellers reverse-engineer it.
That kind of shift would change pricing leverage too. A seller who sees a hot name knows what not to discount; a marketplace that surfaces it knows what to promote. Neither side says that out loud, but both understand it.
Until the feature arrives, the control panel remains a warehouse with the lights on: everything visible, little actually highlighted.
